I’m sure you’ll fall in love with the ‘moving’ characters and animals invented by the street theater company Royal de Luxe. If they ever show up near your place, just teleport yourself instantly, since pure poetry cannot be missed!

Friendly robots
Contrasting with “too close to human” machines, humanoïd robots like NAO are cute, despite the fact that they obviously are machines. Their kind, smooth appearance and amazing skills tend however to fade their technological nature. Just look at how kids interact with NAO, by browsing the wealth of vids posted on YT, or the vids posted by the company NAO was born from.
The small rush showing NAO scared by a clap is a must see!
ACTROÏDS invasion!
This is the new avatar from Japanese technology : the “actroïd”. If it is “watchable” wrapped in its latex skin… (see photo below: )
… it’s less glamour when considering the underpinnings! (See photo below: ).
After all, it’s the same with genuine human bodies, no?

Second Life: Wow! I spent hours in ‘SL’ parallel worlds (I was born 4 years and 1 month ago!). Well, even digitalized, mankind remains mankind… I stopped wandering in there, (but I still have an account…) It remains a great technological breakthrough, the first on such scale I believe. What do you think about it? (Not speaking about my avatar above!)

Dan Fogelberg: “Sutter’s mill” (excerpt) , from the album “High country snows”. I bought this album when it was released in 1985. (No CDs then…). The very same year, I travelled to California, Utah, Colorado and Arizona.
